Creep.

I made the mistake of clicking on MSNs entertainment page about Ricky Martin being gay (what?!)
and ended up reading a ton of ridiculousness... (which is what housewives do correct? read gossip magazine and watch soaps? lol) but I do enjoy hearing stories about Heidi and Spencer and Lauren and all those other people's names I don't know.  I've never been a Laguna Beach or Hills watcher, I watched the Hills a few times with my roommates in college, but I still know what happened and whats going on in these crazies' lives... and I've always had the ability to spot a loser.
and Spencer is loser and beyond.... but he's a very rich loser.  People love to hate him. including me.

Supposedly a friend said Heidi Montag "hates having to admit" that her frenemy, Lauren Conrad, was ahead of the curve in disliking her creepy, flesh-color-bearded hubby.

Frenemy.
it sucks when your frenemy is right, in a 'I told you so' kinda way...  but sucks even more when you don't see it.... which Heidi either doesn't because she is that stupid... or she want sto get rich? but what sucks the very very most is so many people are dating/married to 'creepy' guys and are NOT getting rich off of the publicity.

I ate fish! and liked it! A feat I thought couldn't be done!
My friend Alfonso learned how to buy and prepare fresh fish from the market and offered to share with Lee and I! I made homemade french fries and onion rings & we had a picnic outside for dinner one evening. :)

did you know there is a difference in marinade and marinate? I didn't until Lee pointed out my spelling error here, marinade is the stuff you put the meat in and marinate is the act of applying the marinade! crazy huh

I just received facebook premium for my birthday from my loving husband.... because I was sick for a week and was bored out of my mind on the internet & bored with regular picnik... I wanted more collage options, more effects, more picture storage!! more more more! haha... so Lee agreed. however, I didn't know much about the "touch up" section before....until I started playing around.
Here is an original picture... that I took of myself, which before I thought was a good picture of me.... until I found out I had so many flaws... not only did I brighten my eyes, apply mascara and blush, I also removed the shine from my face & whitened my teeth... and removed the wrinkles under my eyes... I didn't even know I had wrinkles before!

so next time you're looking through a magazine or see a make up ad & think how perfect the model or celebrity looks..... don't go buy their product or feel bad about yourself.... it can all be done in a few clicks on picnik. lol....

Eating out!!

This past week Lee's parents were here to visit, so they took us out to eat almost everyday!!! It was a great switch from cooking 2-3 times a day!!! It was like I was on vacation too... and I got the tan to prove it :)

I cut them up, boiled them until they were soft, but not quite mash-able
drained the water and put them back on the stove 

added a little butter and brown sugar 

cooked them a couple minutes more so the sugar stuck

and Lee LOVED it
I don't like corn that much... but cream cheese and butter make everything taste good!! 

In college I was telling a professor I had about something I had cooked (when I had my first apartment with some friends and we were coming up with meals all the time...) and I told her I made the very best mashed potatoes by using heavy whipping cream instead of just milk... and she looked a little taken back and said "well, fat certainly does taste good!"  hahahahaha so the girls I lived with and I started saying this all the time about everything we'd eat! aaaahhhh the precious days we spent living in a barn :)
We lived in a converted barn, turned awesome apartment!  It was part of a bed and breakfast.

We lived on the bottom right hand side. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, giant kitchen, cozy little living room.... :)

even though Lee has midterms this week and he has been studying all day everyday the past week... I've never felt more in love or close to him. 
I don't know what it is... it feels like we've just started dating rather than going on 5 years - making each other laugh, complimenting each other an absurd amount, kissing every time we get within 4ft of each other...
we are just ridiculously happy and silly... and I like it!

I can't believe how blessed I am to have such a husband.
not only is he tall and good looking, he's smart, he loves God and has a heart for furthering his kingdom, he truly wants to help people and be a good example of Christ.  We have actually fought because he was 'too nice' to someone when I wanted him to be mean... he is rubbing off on me though.  He has taught me to see things from other people's point of view and to just be a better person.
and nevermind the fact that he is going to be a doctor! I fell in love with him long before he decided on medicine, but I did fall in love with the hardest worker I've ever met.  He is so dedicated it's insane.
another thing that I love about Lee is how much he loves and trust me... he thinks that I'm the greatest thing on earth, or he at least makes me feel like that's how he thinks :) he thinks I'm the greatest cook, the best artist, the best dressed, the prettiest, the best wife.... he's even said I'm an expert blogger, even though I've only been doing it for a month. bless his little heart, he always acts so impressed by me & I love him for that & confidence he gives me.
